About 14 years ago, I bought 3 everbearing rose bushes in july, marked down to 75¢ each at Atwoods (A farm and ranch store in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas). One only grew a little -— not enough sun. The other two are a riot of beautiful pink blossoms from April to December, including one my husband built a wood deck over -— it obviously wants to live. They get water and lots of sunshine. Once or twice over the years, I have treated them with insecticide and antifungal. Easily the best purchase I ever made.
All they need is water and sunshine. It’s a myth that they’re hard to grow.
Sometimes, a rose is a rose is a rose, wanting only basic care.
Ping!
If you have the room, any of the Rugosa (Shrub) roses will take total care of themselves.
I have a few of the Knockouts, and also anything in the Meidiland family roses are very carefree.
