On 1 June 1945 the UK placed 32,000 Cossacks (with their women and children) into trains and trucks and delivered them to the Red Army for repatriation to the Soviets; similar repatriations occurred that year in the US occupation zones in Austria and Germany.
Most Cossacks were sent to the gulags in far northern Russia and Siberia, and many died; some, however, escaped, and others lived until the amnesty of 1953. In total, some two million people were repatriated to the Soviets at the end of the Second World War.

The guy was a racist thug in Britain who did time for assault, but is he a traitor? Britain isn’t at war with Russia.
Notice too, that his “heritage,” and presumably at least some of his ancestry, is Irish, and there’s been bad blood there for centuries.
“Lord Haw Haw,” the German propagandist in WWII, was an Irish-American who had adopted German citizenship. Whether he was technically a traitor to Britain is something that has been debated.
An awful lot of Brits have Irish ancestry, among them the Beatles, and most Hiberno-Britons are assimilated.
