My congress critter voted against the bill even though her district will benefit economically.
There is another and in my mind correct way to look at the money to Ukraine and Israel. Rather than like you concentrate on the Profit and Loss statement as an expense, look rather at the Balance Sheet. The money is an investment in the future where the Cancers of Russia and Iran are destroyed.
For grand children, a world free from the combined continued aggression and destruction of Russia and Iran is a great asset that will continue to pay dividends in perpetuity
And my congress critter did too. In fact my congress critter is Paul Gosar.

Except that is not how it works. In our misguided efforts to try and “make them safe” we are actually enslaving them and destroying their future liberty and prosperity. In the long term we are actually doing much more harm than good.
