He should pre-announce his resignation (as Boehner did), so we can pick a new Speaker without ever being without a GOP Speaker.

Friday, we have one less Republican in the majority as Rep Gallagher leaves instead of finishing his term.
As a going away gift, Speaker Johnson plans to force the senate to take up Gallagher’s bill to ban tiktok and give Presidential power to ban websites.
But still no border.

They better not be banning websites. Freedom of speech needs to be far and wide. It must be protected. These knaves think they can just start banning things now?

This is the guy who walks around with a "national debt clock," and who has made a career out of railing against bloated Federal budgets and unconstitutional spending. And yet when the time came for him to actually cast a decisive vote on the matter in the spring of 2023, he was right there supporting the Biden-McCarthy measure to raise the U.S. debt ceiling.
Nothing will be accomplished between now and the next election. This is a distraction we don’t need. Let’s get Trump in the White House and then throw this clown out, and hopefully get someone who will stand for American principals.

Democrats still won't have the votes to do accomplish anything.
And, Jefferies ranting and raving as Speaker, any genuine MAGA candidate's chance will improve.
If Republicans refuse to represent their base, it's way past time to make the move to a MAGA party.

Johnson is washed up. He has no future in politics.
If Jeffries gets in:
a) the bill to ban Trump;
b) national AWB
c) whatever other gun control nonsense they can cram in;
d) criminalization of political dissent;
e) legalization of illegals, making it impossible to deport them or strip them of citizenship;
Basically imposition of a one-party dictatorship.
