I had a black coworker whose mother named her Brittany so she wouldn’t be discriminated against because of her name on her resume. She got the job, all right, but she was terrible. Sat on her phone all day texting and face-timing, and when she did work, made tons of mistakes. Maybe focusing on names isn’t what everybody should be doing...
Sounds like one of those 50% gals.
Employers can’t ask questions either.
She took her name very seriously..because most white Brittany’s (stereotypically) are bubbleheads.
So VERY TRUE!
The story sort of MISSES the POINT... WHY?... Because it DOES NOT talk about the "CHARACTER of the PERSON", or the ABILITIES they POSSESS, rather, it focuses on the COLOR of their SKIN because of their NAME.
I had a co-worker very similar.
Once they get in, it is almost impossible to get them out.
