OJ Simpson, the once beloved NFL superstar and Hollywood actor who was acquitted in a 1995 murder trial that gripped the nation died at his Las Vegas home Wednesday. He was 76.
Simpson — whose fame, fortune, and legacy were forever changed despite being cleared by a Los Angeles jury of killing his ex-wife and her male friend in what was dubbed the “trial of the century” – had been battling prostate cancer.
Nicknamed “The Juice,” Simpson was one of the most popular athletes of the late 1960s and 1970s.
Simpson quickly parlayed his NFL success into show business achievements, such as appearing in the acclaimed TV miniseries “Roots” and films such as “The Naked Gun.” He also famously became a pitchman for brands such as Hertz rental cars.
But athletic popularity and Hollywood fame came crashing down when he was charged with the horrific slashing murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman in Los Angeles in 1994.

Is there another famous person who went to trial for murder since that time and got away with it? I don’t keep up on that and couldn’t think of any.
Court TV showed the last online message he did which showed him smiling and quite happy next to a pool in the sunshine. He said he had some health problems that aren’t bothering him and he was feeling good.
All those attempts at making us good people think justice on earth would include that his children
would know the ugly truth and shun him didn’t mean today wouldn’t have “surrounded by his children and grandchildren in his last days.”
Goldman was needlessly slaughtered at age 25.
Nicole Brown at 35.
Simpson lived to 76.

I would assume so.
He was a lifelong, friend, houseguest, and confidante.
I believe he was a hostile witness for the prosecution who was compelled to testify “against” his friend and benefactor.
That not guilty verdict was one of two major turning points in my hating the human race. Other one is about my own life I won’t discuss.
I vowed to never come back to normal forgiveness and the low self esteem turning the other cheek.
Then the Clintons going scot free and now the lawfare against Trump.
God loves vengeance so much he reserves it for himself.
I know why.
I can still pursue justice.
I imagine he’s doing some heavy splainin to the big guy right about now.
When he “tried” to put on that glove over surgical gloves, which is quite impossible, then I knew the filthy murderer was going to escape justice. And with that idiot female so-called prosecuting attorney-ette, she couldn’t get Hitler convicted.
