I can't imagine riding in a towed trailer could be very comfortable.
A non-idiot would conclude that's why they also make motorhomes and travel buses.

I didn’t know that, however I’ve never been in a towed trailer.

I remember even as a kid in the early 60s that passengers in towed trailers were not permitted. I believe this is federal DOT rule. And this was well before airbag, etc. safety hysteria had gotten going. I think seat belts in vehicles were just starting to be installed from the factory.
