Remember when sterilization of the mentally ill was frowned upon? I guess now it’s actually encouraged.
I did look at the pictures… they’re mostly illustrations, but I can only think that doctors performing these kinds of procedures must get some kind of sick sexual thrill by doing them, let alone the charging the prices for them.
There I’d going to be a special place in hell for them.

My middle and youngest child both have an incurable endocrine defect.
When I took my middle child to a special clinic in Dallas that was part of a major hospital, the doctor tried to conceal the aberration in my child’s lab results. I pushed for the ACTH stimulation test to confirm my suspicions. They refused.
I then went to Cooks in Ft. Worth. They only ran the basic labs and gaslit me, refusing to do the ACTH stimulation test.
It wasn’t until two years later when my youngest was confirmed to have it that the “I know better than you, lady” specialists bothered to run the test I wanted and it came back POSITIVE.
What happened in those two years? My middle child suffered irreparable masculinizing of her body due to acute hyperandrogenism and gender dysphoria set in. My youngest experienced premature bone maturation and stunted growth.
In the quest to promote a movement, actual science and medicine are second place.
These people are vile.

Yes, delusions can be made real... thanks to modern technology.
Technology is by far the biggest disruptor of established values and morals.
The pill and other birth controls are a prime example of that. And hormones and sex change surgeries are the next frontier.
You have three key forces at work - the delusionals, who want to “pursue their happiness”, the sympathizers (what? are you a hater?) and finally the opportunists and politicians who will seize any opening to make a buck or gain power.
I have learned to trust my own instincts over the doctors.
So far, I have not been wrong.
I’m furious at myself for not pushing harder, sooner. Maybe I could have made a difference.

30 years ago Austin was "The Best Little City in the United States." Today it is San Francisco on the Colorado river. Today the best thing in Austin is the 130 tollway that goes around it.
I really loved Austin in 1985. That Austin is gone. In 1985 we had all the weirdos etc. and they were considered to be great fun and amusement. Today they run Austin. I do miss Leslie on 6th street. He was an Icon. He was sadly murdered.
