My Broad Street Bullies had Dave Schultz.
The thing about Schultz, was he could play AND fight.
A big reason they won the cup in 1974 was an OT win in Boston in the finals. During OT Schultz was basically riding the bench. A Bruins fan yelled to the Flyers’ coach Fred Shero “put in Schultz!” The fan, basically, wanted Schultz to get the Flyers into a short handed situation.
Shero put into Schultz….
…who stole the puck deep in the Bruins’ end, passed it to “Cowboy” Bill Flett, who fed it to Bobby Clark for the game winner.

Ya gotta back it up with skillz.
They weren't my team, but I really enjoyed the Anaheim Ducks of the last decade. Their top line was Getzlaf, Perry and Maroon.
Getzlaf had skill, Perry also had talent (and was a true pest) and Maroon would battle in the corners or go to net and cause chaos.
But they were ALL big guys who no one dared mess with.
Our boys had 1,967 Penalty minutes. The hammer was the best.
