I have seen as much as $1.89 a pound and as low as I think $q.29 a pound recently.
If you’re in California, I bet you paid more than I do here in Indiana.
I’m still in shock after buying my grandkids (10) their traditional Lindt gold bunnies. 🥴
I HATE onions so if it was more than $0 then it was too much.
Not to worry.
The barbarian hordes which recently crossed the border will have no idea what the prices here should be.
And will pay the higher prices.
Biden voters don’t care. They’re counting on a national basic income.
Here’s an interactive site that lets you compare specific food costs. If you’re a meat lover, expect to see over a 60% increase in the Biden basket.
We have bargain onions at $1.29
BUT...
Butter. $6 a pound
Eggs. $5. Down from 7 a few weeks ago
Gasoline is back over $5 a gallon
Beer now $12 a 6 pack for anything good
The new Bidemonics pound of anything are 12 ounces.
Kalifornia???
I’ll say $4.99 bob

My local Safeway — southern Arizona — is now selling regular old oranges not by the pound but for $1 apiece.
Between 1880 and 1960 everything doubled in price. A 100% increase in 80 years.
Between 1960 and 2024 everything has gone up over 900%, in 64 years.
Increase sales of garden seeds to ensue spring planting now hobby.
Yeah, but deli crickets are only 5 cents/lb.
Yeah they have gone crazy! Bidenomics is bad enough, but now that they pretty much have a monopoly they are really starting in on the price gouging. I have almost stopped shopping in the regular American chain grocery stores anymore... I live in a heavily Latino area of Phoenix and we have a couple Mexican supermarket chains and their produce is SO much cheaper it is not even funny. I just got onions yesterday for 2#/$0.99. I get broccoli and Cauliflower for 79 cents a pound every week and then see it for $1.99/# at Safeway and Frys when I am cherry picking their sale ads.
