"pink spotted plant" Polka Dot Plant? It's a filler, but can be grown as a houseplant, too.

Re: Broccoli. When I grow it in the garden beds, I give each plant a square foot. In a pot, I would imagine that would translate to a 5-gallon sized pot, but you could probably get away with a slightly smaller pot. Be sure to fertilize it often, if in a pot. A basic 10-10-10 would do the trick.

Yeah, that’s it. I think it’s a great filler, and I also have one as a houseplant that my son’s girlfriend gave me one Christmas a few years ago. She had been taking a ceramics course, so made a small planter for me. It’s not huge, maybe 4” across and 5-6” high. Fits great on the kitchen counter, and is a happy reminder of the sweet girl that loves my youngest. We keep hoping they will tell us they are tying the knot, but this younger generation seems to wait forever to do that. She’s an angel.
