Some women just make all the others around them disappear. Ksenya is one of those.

In an interview, Leonid explains that all bands get tired of playing the same old same old, so when they go on tour they improvise and change things up. Which is great for the band but sucks for the audience who want to hear their music played just like it was on the record. Since sheet music wasn’t available at the time, he reverse engineered Chicago’s songs and wrote the charts so they could recreate the original performance, note by note, exactly as it was originally.
Gotta love that kind of dedication to the music!

I am a huge fan of them, though I have not seen them live.
This is my favorite cover: LINK: Carpenters-SuperStar

Ksenia has a wonderful voice, but nobody can compare to Karen Carpenter.

I wouldn’t know enough to compare (I wouldn’t say one is better than the other in any case) but I have a friend who works for Bose, and he said that they used Karen Carpenter’s work to demo their products...I believe it.

Here's the acapella version of Karen's work. Isolated, you can hear the incredible quality of her voice. She has a once-in-a-lifetime gift.

About all I know is Komitat Gosudarstvennoi Bezopasnosti
And that’s because of “Spies Like Us” (I had to pause the video) and “Terminal Velocity” (spoken)

Ksenia right there in the middle.
She was very sweet when I met her about 2-1/2 years ago. Had her glasses on and had just gotten herself a strawberry(?) shake before they got on the road.
She was a little embarrassed that her hand might be sticky from the shake (obviously, by her expression).
That morning she was wearing her glasses.
In the red jumpsuit is Oleg - saxophone - got a picture with him too last year - year before we were on the elevator together with several roadies (I think). I couldn’t make out any but the obvious folks on stage.

I’ll take Ksenia .... oh darn she’s married
She almost ran over me 1.5 years ago with her luggage - she was going about 90 mph to get to the van
