I haven’t heard that since basic training.
It’s been stuck in my head since 1979! :)
“I don’t know, but I’ve been told...”
“Ain’t no use in lookin’ DOWN - Ain’t no Discharge on the ground!”
“Ain’t no use in lookin’ BACK - Jody’s got your Cadillac!”
Military Cadence originated in 1929...in PRISONS, LOL!
It was fun while it lasted, though. Nothin’ like a 10-mile Field March on a hot August day in Full Combat Gear, Baby!
I will say that it got a little old for us Gals having to DRAG the Guys over the Finish Line at the end! ;)
(I was in the very FIRST Co-Ed Platoon, 1979, Fort Jackson, SC for my Basic Training).
