It was a general comment.
I spent 2 years on a Navy Destroyer in the WestPac. 390ft long and 3600 tons. Sometimes, especially when low on fuel, it would pop around like a cork. Each bunk came equipped with two straps to keep you from falling out at night in rough seas. Sometimes when walking along a corridor you could put your foot on the wall. Ships, no matter the size, are at the mercy of winds and tides.
