Retirees get paid through the nose, but especially with the real geezers, employers aren’t on the hook for bennies and healthcare.
And as for long term, in this economy, and in NYS, long-term doesn’t mean what it used to.
We don’t know any young’uns being called back, but plenty of geezers.

Hubby is a retired Physicist, and volunteered at a hospital lab a couple years before Covid, and before that a couple years with Hospice.
He’d love to go back and do either one, but both require the clot shot.
