Packers New Star Running Reportedly Involved In Minor Dirt Bike Accident

Green Bay Packers fans are anxiously watching after newly acquired running back Josh Jacobs was spotted riding a dirt bike in a recent livestream, causing concern among the fanbase.

The former Alabama and Las Vegas Raiders player was seen operating an ATV with a dirt bike attached. However, the dirt bike flipped during the ride, sending Jacobs airborne and eventually landing in the grass beside the road.

Fortunately, it appears Jacobs emerged from the incident unscathed. Nonetheless, some fans questioned why he was participating in such activities, especially as a highly paid professional athlete.

“Why risk it as a pro athlete?” one fan queried, while another exclaimed, “What did I just witness?”

Jacobs’ signing with the Packers was one of the major moves of the offseason, filling the void left by former running back Aaron Jones, who departed for the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings.

In securing a four-year, $48 million deal with the Packers, Jacobs replaced Jones, who was franchise-tagged by the Raiders before the 2023 season but became a free agent this time around. Similar to Saquon Barkley, the former New York Giants player, Jacobs capitalized on the opportunity to secure a lucrative contract with a new team.

Joining a Packers squad that showed promise with a surprising playoff upset over the Dallas Cowboys last season, Jacobs adds depth to a team led by quarterback Jordan Love, who is seen as a franchise player capable of leading the team to division titles, playoff success, and potentially a Super Bowl.

Given his new contract, Jacobs may want to avoid risky activities like riding ATVs and dirt bikes in the future.

I recall the Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls had argue with the team to remove a clause in his contract that forbade him from playing pick-up basketball games

Many professional athletes are not allowed to mountain bike, per their contract.

I remember Joe Montana couldn't SCUBA dive until after he retired.

Apparently, Jacobs never heard of Malik McDowell. He was the Seahawks second round pick in the 2017 draft. Shortly after the draft he went out on an ATV. He ended up losing his signing bonus, because he was unable to play. He was released with a non-football injury designation. He finally made it onto the Cleveland roster in 2021 on a $660K contract. He never played in the NFL again after 2021. You gotta figure a D-lineman in the second round ... that ATV ride cost him probably at least $50M over the course of what would have been his career.

Jason Williams from Duke ruined his career riding a motorcycle.

A different Jayson Williams ruined his life by twirling a shotgun and killing his limo driver.

Then there’s white chocolate Jason Williams. Randy moss’ buddy…

I think the contracts explicitly state that the athlete cannot indulge in any dangerous activities. If they do, the contract can be broken..and bye-bye money.

Sorry, you are completely wrong about that.

Jayson Williams is not some victim. His basketball career was ended by injury BEFORE he killed Gus Christofi.

Also, he was acquitted of all the serious charges, and only found guilty of covering up the shooting. He was out to cause more trouble.

Also, he almost killed Wayne Chrbet and Manute Bol's uncle.

And don't think he was some kind of gangster or from the ghetto. He was raised in a two parent household, with working, religious parents.

Don't sell to me he ruined his life. He ruined everyone around his life, but he's always done well.

I didn’t say he was a victim, nor was even remotely implied.
