More than 2 million people in Gaza who have survived nearly six months of intense bombardment are now at risk of dying of starvation.
Trucks loaded with food, medical supplies and other necessities are being held up at the border for days, waiting for approval from Israeli authorities.
Some days, fewer than 10 trucks are able to reach the Gaza Strip. On others, more than 200 enter the Palestinian enclave, according to U.N. figures. Before the beginning of the hostilities, more than 500 trucks a day were able to get in.
“Our biggest worry is that we still don’t have access,” Cindy McCain, head of the U.N. World Food Programme (WFP), told POLITICO in an interview this week in Brussels.
McCain said enough food to feed the entire Gaza population for months was “ready to go in.” But access was not being granted.
“We need consistent, sustained and safe access,” urged McCain.
The famine crisis is deepening as Israeli forces continue their devastating ground offensive in retribution for the Oct. 7 attacks, in which Hamas militants killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took around 250 hostages.
Famine is imminent in northern Gaza, an international monitoring group warned this week, and there is a risk of famine across the rest of the strip.

Are these warnings alarmist, then? They're being widely reported but (I accept) not necessarily verified...
I noticed they keep blaming Israel, making Israel out to be the bad guys while absolutely nothing negative is being said about the animals who burned babies alive and killed women while raping them.
What happened? All of a sudden Hamas are the good boys? This whole conflict is ALL on Hamas, Iran and the Biden regime which funded the attack via Iran. This is all a scam to make Israel look bad, they do this every freakin’ time there is a conflict, they roll out the same propaganda. They released a photo a few days ago of a “starving” child which was so obviously photoshopped it was laughable.
And BTW all this proves at least to me that Obama is calling the shots. Nobody hates Israel and Jews more than that guy and he is eager as hell to nuclearize Iran
After Hamas is eliminated, things will get better. Starvation happens in all wars. For some reason, people in Gaza are special. They are so special, no country wants them. Egypt is sending out tanks, to the border to prevent them from coming into their country.

While you totally ignore or brush aside the fact that the palistinian people support hamas and their religious war to exterminate or subjugate Israel and it’s people..... and it was hamas that started the current turmoils with their attack on Israel.

But even if they are starving, so what? I don't recall us obsessing over providing food and fuel to the "civilians" of Nazi Germany and the empire of Japan while we were at the same time bombing them into the stone age. They started a war that they are losing, and it can end the moment that they surrender, as it did with Germany and japan.
But the sick fact is that the so-called civilians of Gaza are far worse than the ones in Germany and Japan. Because many of those civilians went into Israel on October 7th and raped and murdered and kidnapped women and children and the elderly and brought them back to Gaza.

You do know that those funny Arabic markings on the Hamas flag say, “On Saturday we kill Jews, on Sunday we kill Christians.” And you feel sorry for them? Get a grip!

Another survey yesterday showed 70% of the starving Pali population still supports Hamas.You’d think if you were starving you would want to reconsider why you have no food. Or maybe they aren’t hungry enough yet.

If hamas would stop stealing the foreign aid they are given, there would be enough food for the people.
The Palis were told to leave northern Gaza months ago. The only remaining people there are belligerents. That hardly qualifies them for aid.
The head of the ECF (ExCon Foundation) says the head of the WFP must attend barbeques in Haiti to ease the hunger of the Haitian people.
