Police have two persons of interest in connection with the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy in Brooklyn that was apparently revenge for an Instagram live beating that the young boy was not involved in, according to police sources.
Troy Gill was just a few blocks from his home in Crown Heights near Brooklyn Avenue and St. Marks Avenue around 10 p.m. on Feb. 29 when he was shot four times by rival gang members and left for dead, cops said.
The boy had been to a Nets game earlier that night and desperately called his mother as he fled right after being shot, according to police.

Gangs suck. The 13 year old was in the rival gang that kidnapped and beat the suspected shooter. While they try to paint him as innocent “boy was not involved in” he is in the gang. It must pay well though if he can attend a Nets game.
He had a rookie out for in the field training when they were called to a fight between two gangs. My friend drove up, parked the car and watched some serious beat downs going on. The rookie asked when they were going to stop the fights and was told that these were not some poor little old lady getting assaulted, they were hard core gang bangers beating on each other. They would wait until enough back up arrived and then they would deal with the fight if it was still going on.
It sucks that kid got offed, but he is involved with a criminal gang that was probably responsible for a kidnapping of a rival gang member. When you are involved in thei kind of stuff, getting shot is an occupational hazard.

Appaerntyy ‘Thou Shall Not Kill’ has no meaning to urban teenage gang members.
At the least, affiliation with a criminal gang should upgrade LE assessment and legal penalties for juveniles to adult status.
