That's a real risk in Haiti, where even the most important government buildings and homes simply flush it into cess pits, there being no central sanitary sewage system. Thereafter the cess pits often accumulate toxic and explosive quantities of methane, causing periodic defecation explosions. Yet we're to believe Haitians should be made instant citizens.
