What the heck does it matter? The forced regime change proxy war has failed miserably. It does not matter a fig if Putin is as illegitimate as Biden. The war has not gone badly and although it may still hang in the balance it has revealed Russian weakness and a victory will presumably cause Russia to rethink its aggression's.
