That AOL thing was a late move right before the bubble popped. AOL had a business model that brought users in to the internet and wouldn’t let them out when they figured out that they didn’t need it. Someday Facebook will go the same way and hopefully before Zuckerberg divests himself.

I remember those free AOL hard shell 3.5" dics and CD-ROMs. They were everywhere in the 1990s. They often came as inserts in those free newspapers that are stacked in grocery stores, diners, and libraries. The streets would be littered with those AOL CD-ROMS that people tossed after picking up one of those newspapers.

I also remember his son being murdered. Jonathan was a true progressive. He could have gone into his father's business, but instead became a school teacher in the ghetto. And was killed by the ghetto.

Corporate leaders have no special insight. It interesting to see how there types view themselves as some sort of guardians.... who expect they should be lording above society.
