So folks, what do you think?
Trump wants Musk to speak; Musk had been a supporter of Ron DeSantis early on. Would this help to unify the party and bring in more votes?
Musk has been quite vocal on the issue with illegal immigration and he now has a taste of the Democrats' lawfare. Maybe they picked on the wrong man.
I think he would be a great speaker. He doesn't even have to talk about politics IMHO, people just want to hear what he says.

Clint Eastwood spoke to an Empty Chair at the 2012 Republican Convention.

I don't see why Musk can't speak. Bring him on.

If I were him, I wouldn’t announce my support for Trump. Instead I would talk about open borders, lawfare and how the Democrats are a threat to the Constitution.

I would keep business and politics as seperate as one can.

IMHO Zell Miller was the highlight of the 2004 RNC, saying then much like Musk does now (that his beliefs haven’t changed, but the Dim party keeps moving further left, making the Republicans more attractive).

Musk may not as it would not really benefit him but the Trump campaign had better do something. Sadly despite being up +10 to +15% on issues Trump is only up in RealClearPolitics of polls +1.8% (well within the margin of cheating, I mean error), Trump should be up +8 at least and what is driving this-the internal numbers show clearly that everytime Trump does his name calling (bird brain, etc) he loses with women voters. You can track it to almost the day he pops off, doesn't matter if we agree with him, he keeps it up, we lose. Remember the MSM is essentially an arm of the Dem party and loves to magnify this NY part of Trump's personality. Trump's net negative just went up again to -12 to almost match Biden's -15. See Realclearpoltics. The difference is Dem voters are loyal and do not spend a lot or time attacking each other like we do with calling out Rinos, attacking DeSantis, Haley etc. They will even vote for a brain impaired candidate if he is a Dem . Trump is a smart guy, except when it comes to impulse control (like a lot of us men ) and he is blowing it. So Musk would be welcome , although the net effect may be like Elvis endorsing Nixon

Musk would be an interesting speaker, and because he’s generally viewed a great innovative genius and independent thinker, I certainly don’t think having him as convention speaker would hurt Trump’s campaign. But how much would it really help? I don’t think I can think of a single example wherein some convention speaker was a game-changer for one candidate or or another

Elon Musk would be an interesting speaker. Also, make him a cabinet member, Secretary of the Treasury or Commerce! He’d be a great Commerce Secretary.
