Those apps are designed to keep users logged in and hooked. It’s why I only use them for communication and information, and I haven’t touched TikTok due to where its HQ originates. The only one I use is Reddit, and it’s either for trade in gaming or advice regarding my truck (there’s a subreddit for my make and model of vehicle).
Rarely I touch Facebook. Maybe a few times a year, particularly around ACen. Its use is mandatory. -eye roll- We used to have Slack, but not anymore.
Til tok is highly effective at creating dopamine surges. Dopamine is the addiction neuro chemical. As metmom says above — and she is correct — the plug in drug.
