...and saved lots of money.

Hey, maybe I should go buy Dunkin' Donuts and rebrand them as mine for 3-4x.

“The Stengells then ordered an at-home gluten test to verify if the sprinkles Siriani claimed she used were actually vegan.“

These reporters are IDIOTS.

Gluten is completely vegan, and possibly, the Stengells, if true.

You use a gluten test to see if it has gluten.

We are surrounded by stupid people in public positions.

That is:

“These reporters are IDIOTS, and possibly, the Stengells, if true.

Gluten is completely vegan.”

My copy/paste didn't go where I intended.

My Sister-in-law said that in 1960, the food fad was added gluten in baked goods. She sent her husband all over Los Angeles looking for bakeries that added extra gluten to their mix.

Bread flour has high gluten content. And when baking with whole grain wheat, bakers often add gluten to help it rise, and give it better texture.

A decent bakery is going to have much better doughnuts than Dunkin has. That alone should have tipped them off, unless the bakery’s own stuff is not that great to begin with. Sixty-five dollars a dozen? A fool and his money.....

Can't you get a dozen donuts from DD for about $8?

That is quite a markup.

1/2 a Doz for $35.?
That’s quite a mark up!
Yet, people were willing to pay for it, thinking they were getting something ‘pure’.

Back when I was a kid, there was a Folger’s commercial.
“We’ve switched the regular coffee in this high-priced coffee shop with Folger’s.”
Customers didn’t notice the difference.

It was either Mad Magazine or Cracked Magazine that took off on it, showing a high priced coffee shop. Folger’s comes and wants to switch coffee. Clerk says that the high-priced coffee already is Folger’s.

I wonder how many people see “gluten free” and think it is some horrible chemical added to food that is a deadly toxin. How many even know what it is. I LOVE gluten. Nice chewy bread or pizza dough.... I have only met one person who was truly allergic to gluten with sever celiac disease. The boy couldn’t even Be in the same room where his parents would want to enjoy a beer.

And as “vegans” wanting avoid gluten..... Gluten is the main ingredient in certain fake meats.

It sounds like John Stengell twisted his man bun too tight.

Patchogue-based Savory Fig...

Melodies is not the Hairy Fig...

You’re so weird part and not being from the Northeast I was kind of taken aback when I was up there for a month or two working but there’s a donut shop on just about every corner, I mean it’s like Popeyes in New Orleans... they’re everywhere.

Personally I’d rather eat a bagel than a donut. And one of the larger donut retailers is Krispy Kreme out of Atlanta.. I remember my mom and dad used to drink Chock Full of Nuts coffee and when they were living in New York City there was chock full of nuts donut (coffee) shops literally every few blocks.

It’s a thing...

And Gluten is protein...and only bad for a very small number of people with celiac disease...
