Tire falls off United flight after takeoff from San Francisco; diverted plane lands safely at LAX
The Soviet Union had a lot of aviation disasters because they hired people who showed loyalty to the Communist Party, not the most qualified people.
SFO? Probably a lot of DEI hires.
“United Airlines Boeing 777 loses tire during takeoff from SF, crushes cars on the ground”
Good, shorter lines for me.
Only reason airplane mishaps make news is because they are so rare.
That’s one reason, but not the only one. Another is that auto fatalities generally involve one to a few people at a time, whereas airline fatalities can involve hundreds.
LOL
enjoy.
It will be fine. This is an isolated incident or two and we over react.
Think about how many ordinary flights United will have flown
both before today n between now and when you fly.
Enjoy your grand kiddies
Still safer than Аэрофло́т, barely...

Thanks. I’m not afraid of flying, but I do get anxiety from having to pack my carry on in such a way as to not get sidelined by the TSA. I’m always afraid I’ll forget something that I shouldn’t have put in there. Lord knows I’ve had plenty of those little tiny pocketknives taken from me. Oh, and being on someone else’s schedule. I just get antsy is all. Just minor stuff. It takes too long to drive, so flying is a must.

Just walk onto the airliner, pack nothing. There is literally a Walmart within 20 minutes of any commercial airport in the US.
Buy 30 or 40 bucks of clothes and stuff there and you are good to go.
No worries about TSA, bag smashers, or connecting flights. I used to pass ride all over the US and never had a problem.
I wouldn’t fly if they paid me to fly.
“I also wonder whether there may be some sabotage occurring to our industries.”
This is also one of the ways unions show their displeasure with management.
What is it with all these airplane issues lately. Good forbid there’s an accident due to lack of maintenance or inept DEI workers not doing the job properly.
Well, at least it was a 777 instead of a Max. And it’s not like you’d expect mechanics to look at a plane before it took off for a trans-Pacific flight. But if if was going by way of LA, it was headed the wrong direction to get to Japan.
