President Vladimir Putin on Thursday hinted at higher taxes for wealthy individuals and companies, saying that a fairer distribution of the tax burden was needed as he urged Russian businessmen to invest in Russia.
"I propose thinking about approaches to modernising our fiscal system, to a fairer distribution of the tax burden towards those with higher personal and corporate incomes," Putin said in a speech to lawmakers and other members of Russia's elite.
"Conversely, lowering the tax burden on families through deductions is needed, stimulating businesses that invest funds in development, in the implementation of infrastructure and social projects."

Is this your daily (or hourly somedays) “Russia is losing” article?
Did you run out of Newsweek propaganda to post?
Putin joins The Squad! LOL!
Russia’s federal income tax rate is 13% up to $5 million. Russian sourced income for non-residents is 13%, 15%, or 30%, depending on their employment status and the source of their income.
Then they have a 10% (food, medicine, and books) to 20% (fashion, technology, watches, and jewelry) VAT tax, kind of like a sales tax, on purchased goods.
Boy, wouldn’t we like that.
Russia stronk!
Mentality of a 10 year old.
I hear he’s going to tax eggs!
It’s over…
I’m convinced he’s a spook, and the CIA is blackmailing Jim.
This shitbird should have been zotted a long time ago.
Also Putin has proposed a childlessness tax.
I doubt he knows what the present income tax rate is in Russia, thereby showing that someone is spoon-feeding him articles.
And a few others also stinking up the place.
How did all these Fed contractors get a platform here to root for Biden and troll the longtime conservative support?
Cheering a Russian invasion is not conservative.
Raising taxes is not conservative, either,
FREEPER FOLLIES PINGLIST!!
(((PING!)))
Join and laugh at the humor Zeepers provide!!
I assume threats.
Only dishonest imbecile would attack Putin for this without praising him for pushing through a 13% flat tax rate in the first place.
You're a clown, Marcus.
Read the article. “Putin” said increase taxes on the “rich” and lower taxes on the “poor”. That’s not a flat tax. It’s the Squad Tax.
Look, FRiend, everyone here knows what a phony and a shill for Biden looks like.
Isabel van Pout has got the day off.
What Tendrivsʹka Kosa doink?
