Spunk -Not good at all. :-(

Spunky is there any reason you can’t go back to oils or acrylic? You seem gifted in that medium. On the other hand I understand the challenge and desire to try new things

Different than using oils?

I forgot to go around the house and make sure anything that looked like a watercolor had glass in the frame. I’m going to dust today so I’ll do it then. I think my grandfather did very few watercolors, mostly everything is on thick dense material, very few on paper. I assume that’s one way to tell the difference? He did paint a few things on metallic paper, but the paint on that looks a bit thick, more like the oil paintings. Then he left some blank spots so the paper shows through.

I recall doing water colors in grade school. Obviously primitive compared to your tasks. Part of our art school supplies in addition to box of crayons was a tin holder with 8 or so small containers of the water colors. Pretty sure we just used the plain paper
