been a busy day here... and you are so right about carbs triggering fat storage.
We people don’t seem to think rationally about the evidence all around us. We learn about bears hibernating, eating berries all fall to store up fat for the winter, as we celebrate fall with fruit pies, jams and jellies, cookies, etc...
BUT we don’t go hibernate off our stored fat, we keep on stuffing our faces with sugars and starches all winter long. Then we wonder why we end up weighing two or three times what we should.
We are genetically programmed/adapted to seasonal eating just like other primates, and so-called smart people make a lot of money researching ways to exacerbate carb cravings in manufactured foods with high fructose corn syrups, synthetic fats, and other chemicals.
I wonder how long it will take for the truth to be accepted about how we are killing ourselves with the crap foods we eat, and bankrupting ourselves with huge medical bills, and ridiculously expensive drugs that cause side effects as bad if not worse than chronic illnesses caused.
Which is why now I embrace sprinting over weight training. At my age, I am afraid of sustaining injuries, or messing up my joints.
Sprinting gives you a good physique without all that. And since you only go full-out for a few seconds, it’s a lot less stressful on the body, and keeps the Cortisol levels low.
I recommend watching Dr. Sean O’Mara’s videos, he goes in depth as to how visceral fat is the real enemy, and people who appear to be skinny and healthy, may actually have a lot of hidden visceral fat.
The fat/cholesterol link for heart disease has been debunked.
Meat,eggs,diary, an animal based diet is the proper human diet.

In my opinion it is a mixture - with more on the “food he ate” - AND his age/calorific burn genetic profile.
By cutting out empty carbs, I have lost a lot of weight - by that I mean: no chips, added sugar alcohol, soft drinks, white bread. And minimizing fast food (oily fried stuff) - not eliminating.
Essentially it became that most of my meals are home made from fresh ingredients - no processed food except for bread.
It’s tough to stick to a decent diet when you aren’t close to home (working.) The vast majority of eat out places serve horrific “food.” The ones that don’t server poor quality. They have to for economic survival.

You are sooo correct. I had a terrible diet during my 20s when I was a complete gymrat. I got away with it due to youth metabolism, but didn’t get the muscle definition I wanted (due to the bad diet).
When I finally wised up, then I did see a lot of improvement — and realized that diet is what we need to look at primarily
That's where "One Meal A Day" (OMAD) comes in. If you are on a Keto diet, where you live off of Ketones for energy, it's much easier to control hunger, so you can have control over when you eat, and don't feel like you have to eat in a situation where the only choices are bad choices. So you either eat a big breakfast before going to work, or I prefer to actually have my big meal at night, after I get home. But eating carbs will make that much more difficult, due to the blood sugar spikes.

Even now you may possibly exist in a chain of several generations... possibly as many as 5 generations.
So, 10 generations is not inconceivable.
My original assertion of 20 was INCORRECTLY based on selling to consumers. They claim every 7 years there is a whole other “generation” of consumers that must be targeted.
Actually, it was proven that the Atkins diet lowers the fat in the blood by forcing the body to burn the fat when there are no carbs available, rather than storing it. It’s a diabetic diet. The good thing is that non-diabetics can modify the diet to include fruits and other needed foods.
A high school kid at my sister’s church went on it because he wasn’t going to graduate h.s. with no gym credits. They made a deal with the gym teacher, who made up an individualized gym plan and over saw it and the lost the weight and graduated and was a much happier kid.
Like any diet, once you go off of it, the weight comes back.
