The war in Ukraine is based on lies — lies about how it started, how it’s going, and how it will end.
We are told that Ukraine is winning when in fact it is losing. We are told that the war makes NATO stronger when in fact it is depleting it. We are told that Ukraine’s biggest problem is a lack of funds from the U.S. Congress when in fact the West can’t produce enough ammunition — a problem that will take years to fix. We are told that Russia is suffering greater casualties when in fact Ukraine is running out of soldiers — another problem money can’t fix.

Brilliant!
US manufacturing capacity is mid 60’s level-
20yrs after WWII-yea it would take years to manufacture the ammo!
Brilliance!
We aren’t going to retool the whole economy to produce ammo for Ukraine, like we did to defeat Hitler and Tojo. We’re also going to have to be producing weaponry for the other current and potential conflicts, and we’re already massively in debt as it is.
“US manufacturing capacity is mid 60’s level-“
I don’t get the joke. In the mid 6Os the U.S. was THE industrial manufacturing powerhouse of the world. Today US manufacturing is a joke. Look around, what industrial manufactured goods do you see that were made in America? How many U.S. industrial workers do you know? In the 60s I remember, you might see an occasional VW bug or a foreign camera but EVERYTHING else was produced in the USA.
“We aren’t going to retool the whole economy to produce ammo for Ukraine, like we did to defeat Hitler and Tojo. We’re also going to have to be producing weaponry for the other current and potential conflicts, and we’re already massively in debt as it is.”
Pure and simple... It is an extremely simple concept. Throwing more money at it will NEVER fix it.
Putin started it by attacking and invading another country.
Thanks for contributing to the War of Lies. You are the poster boy for the article.
That describes America when we invaded Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ok comrade.
What I said was one thing that is not a lie.
Putin/Russia attacked and invaded another country.
But besides that, how’s the war going?
After fighting the CIA for 8 years following the Obama/CIA overturning of the legit, neutral government of Ukraine, Russia attacked Ukraine, the puppet of the CIA. I refer you to the NYT piece from Monday documenting the covert war that was being waged against Russia from Ukrainian territory. At that point the unprovoked proxy CIA Cold War became a hot proxy war against Russia. These truths have had little chance in the Uniparty’s war of lies. Obama and the CIA started this war. The Russians, for very good reason, finally said enough. Now the Russians are about to end the unprovoked war started against them and NATO in the process. Please, save your war of lies for someone else. I know better.
I guess you wouldn't have any problem with it then, if Russia fomented and anti-American coup in Mexico, armed and send neo-Nazis to kill thousands of ethnic Americans in Mexico, and announced Mexico would be joining an anti-US alliance and hosting nuclear weapons at us. We should just lie down and take it by neo-con logic.
Horribly! We have already been fleeced for a $150 Billion. The American taxpayer will probably be swindled out of another $75 Billion for Uke/DC corruption before Trump can put the racket out of business. That war of lies is big bonanza business for the DC oligarchs.
All those dead
Just stop
What galls me is the additional 300,000 (and rapidly counting) dead Ukrainian troops unnecessarily killed after the West quashed the peace settlement process a month after this began.
Thank you for being honest enough to agree with my statement if obvious fact.
You’re quite the moonbat.
“In the 60s I remember, you might see an occasional VW bug or a foreign camera but EVERYTHING else was produced in the USA.”
Remember when “Made in Japan” was a byword for cheap shoddy junk? All they were good for was Cracker Jack prizes. If something broke, we’d sneer and say “Was that made in Japan?”
