Landed with a slight tilt, as much as 8 degrees.

Here’s what just landed on the moon aboard Intuitive Machines’ Odysseus lander

Did this thing deploy?

“Eaglecam is a cubesat-sized payload designed to capture the first-ever “third-person” image of a spacecraft making a lunar landing. Eaglecam, developed by students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, will deploy from Odysseus about 100 feet (30 meters) above the lunar surface and capture the moment of touchdown.”

8 degrees would be a lot, given limits of lunar lander antennae adjustment.

A fellow mentioned 8 degrees, but that might actually be in regard to a tilt during descent - immediately before landing.

Perhaps, upon landing, a better orientation - would be nice.

But overall, the lunar lander antennae apparently have a limit of physical adjustment.

The antennae are directional. Need to aimed at earth.

Big antenna in Australia, might compensate or be in a better location to receive/transmit.

Nelson is Biden’s age.

I kid you not.

Don’t know, yet, about that camera system deployment.

Lunar lander antennae aim was not good enough, upon landing. Mission said that it hopes to get better comm.’s via

When Bill Nelson talks, I cringe. He probably can’t help it, but it’s almost like he’s afraid we won’t understand what he’s saying.

Yeah Nelson’s speech looked pre-recorded, and a bit too optimistic given what I saw.

He probably had a crash speech ready too.

Lunar Lander is apparently oriented at a most awkward angle with respect to the moon surface:
