Committee members at a Massachusetts school have requested that the National Guard be brought in to deal with unruly students 'causing chaos'.
Violence and security concerns have been raised at Brockton High School, with 11 students arrested and criminally charged just last week after a brawl in the school.
Committee members Joyce Asack, Tony Rodrigues, Claudio Gomes and Ana Oliver requested immediate assistance last week 'to prevent a potential tragedy'.
Their letter said: 'Over the past few months, our high school has experienced a disturbing increase in incidents related to violence, security concerns, and substance abuse.
‘The situation has reached a critical point, more recently we had an alarming 35 teachers absent, underscoring the severity of the challenges we are facing.’ The letter added: 'We are formally requesting that you reach out to Governor Healey and request the deployment of the National Guard to assist in restoring order, ensuring the safety of all individuals on the school premises, and implementing measures to address the root causes of the issues we are facing.'
Cellphone footage obtained by NBC Boston shows students fighting in a stairwell at the school.
Several individuals can be seen throwing punches and attacking each other during the melee.
Earlier this month, teachers voiced their concerns during an emergency committee meeting and shared their experiences.

How do you get a six-foot-five 300-pound high school student anyway? What do the parents look like, Sasquatch?

it’s a city heavily populated by members of a certain race...
“they’re cutting class, having sex, and doing drugs”.
And that’s just the teachers.
They probably already have cops in the schools. School system cops are in many (most?) cases there to hush up, sweep under the rug, any incidents that would be bad for the school’s rep/PR. It is for this reason I am against school system cops.
I think a high school of 4,000+ students is too large, no matter how large is the body of teachers and administrators.
Am I saying that is problem? No. I am saying it harder to get a handle on such problems, no matter the causes, when a junior or senior high school is that large.
Between “no child left behind” and equity policies, you’re not allowed so even suspend them, much less expel them.
No one wants to say the hard truth — some children NEED to be left behind.
Brockton is the next town over from me, it is a drug infested, crime ridden, liberal cesspool. The Mayor of Brockton doesn’t want the National Guard, instead, it’s being reported that he wants “mental health” people at the school.
Reverting back to the African standard of living. This is the culture they like. We all need to stop pretending it isn’t.
Exactly. They removed God, Bibles and the ability of parents’ being able to protest the grooming of their children at school board meetings.
They have exactly what they want and voted in.
demoncraps are smiling.
Parents want the free child care.
Do they still have the Brockton fair every summer?
Last time i went was 1985 and while entering i saw one guy being carried out beaten so bad i could not believe it.
Man, those Cape Verdeans in Brockton sure know how to party! 😆 Better be careful as the guardsmen might join the party.
It was my first thought, and then I remembered how old most of those students are. They’ve reached the age of majority and have to be responsible for their own behavior. It then falls upon the schools to require proper behavior and to punish those who fail to exhibit it.
Parents are feral, so the kids are too
School district is afraid of BLM, NAACP and lawyers, so there is no discipline since pre-pre-K and beyond.
Tribal violence brought to you by feral culture.
No one learns 99% of these kids are just future inmates or body bag contents.
My grandmother taught in NYC public for 50 years starting in 1911.
Whenever someone brought up a reform idea, she would shrug and say, “Somebody’s gotta clean the subways”.
Free education without screening for ability should end after Grade 8 - around age 14. And Middle/Junior High Schools should be abolished.
K-8 in one school, it's free. 9-12 free if you pass the entrance exam, enrollment not required for anyone, but if you pass the test and enroll, unexcused absence not allowed.
I believe he was an early 20’s special needs learning disabled student of a protected class. Plus we are the only nation on earth where our poor people are often grossly overweight.
IIRC, the Brockton fair grounds were up for sale last year.
