Much as our esteemed psychological profession defines “gender dysphoria,” there’s also a phenomenon known as “species dysphoria.”
I do understand that among mental-health practitioners it’s known as “Species Identity Disorder” (or “clinical lycanthropy”), but give it time.
“Gender dysphoria” used to be “Gender Identity Disorder” (and should be “Sexual Identity Disorder”) until that was deemed “stigmatizing” to the disordered.
Whatever you call it, however, just as gender dysphoria involves the sense that one is stuck in the body of the “wrong” sex, species dysphoria involves the sense that one is stuck in the body of the “wrong” species. Examples of people claiming animal status were Texas girl “Wolfie Blackheart,” Norwegian woman “Nano” (who claimed she was a cat) and members of the groups known as “otherkin,” “therians” and “furries.”
What percentage of these people are just role-playing or looking for attention, and how many actually believe they’re animals, is not the point. It is, rather, that virtually all of us recognize this as, depending on the case, either a psychological or spiritual/cultural problem. We also know that you can’t be “trans-species” because changing your species is impossible; a corollary of this is that since trans-species creatures do not exist, they cannot be driven to extinction.
This comes to mind with yet another accusation that normal people are perpetrating a “trans genocide,” in this case because the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles will prohibit designer “genders” on driver’s licenses and will insist, once again, that only a person’s sex (i.e., male or female) be on them.
Yet in reality, the activists thus claiming have tipped their hand. That is, if we said that the racial descriptor “black” couldn’t be on government documents because being black is not a real physical state of being, the accusations would be...

I have taken off my list of media outlets that can’t tell a girl from a boy, DM, FOX and other MSM outlets. No clicks, no ad revenue. I wish a few million others would join too as then it might make a difference.

I disagree.. anything that is that much at odds with nature will soon be frustrated out if existence.
My mother used to complain about children who ran across the street without looking, and my father would remind her, half-jokingly, that such children would likely not live to reproduce, and thus the problem would take care of itself.
The same is true of transgenderism and other perversions - they are not traits that will be passed on to future generations.
Gender dysphoria ia a mental illness. The lunatic fringe of activists and profiteering doctors and therapists demand that the idea of mental illness be abandoned and that the condition be normalized, embraced, affirmed, and celebrated. They call anything less than this “trans genocide.”
This is no different from talking about “schizo genocide” in response to provision of therapeutic care to stabilize, medicate and counsel schizophrenics in order to enable them to live as normally as possible.
If the analogy is followed, the activists would demand that society turn itself into a pretzel to validate and affirm every schizophrenic who walks around thinking he is Napoleon Bonaparte, God, Yoda, or Barack Obama. Anything less is a denial of the schizophrenic’s humanity, which is entirely self-defined no matter how delusional that self-definition might be.

They are doing it to themselves at their own request, with the assistance of some morally bankrupt medical *professionals*.
The blame for any *trans genocide* rest squarely on the shoulders of the trannies themselves and the so-called medical people who are encouraging and performing the surgery.

Well, Justice Kennedy ruled a few years ago that everybody has the right to define their own idea of the universe, so the insanity runs even up to the Supreme Court.
