It’s the Left’s wet dream that everyone, except them, of course, use public transportation. But then came all the Covid restrictions which, if you followed them, made public transport impossible. In order to make public transport attractive that anyone other than the super-poor uses it, it would need to be clean, and, above all, safe. When I was in New York in the eighties, I did not feel safe. It was probably as safe as it ever could be under Guliani. Given the governmental support of the BLM terrorists, it will never be safe enough. Nor will it ever recover no matter how well patrolled it might be. Not given our present all-whites-are-evil government. Also, you have to get rid of the homeless. Given that the homeless have turned into a profitable NGO industry where NGO presidents pull down in excess of 800k, it will only grow worse with time. Essentially, the cities are dead zones.
