You will not find a greater claustrophobe than I, but I regularly rinse my sinuses.
Wish I had discovered this procedure decades ago. Over the years, allergies caused so many sinus infections that I had scar tissue that showed up on scans.
Admittedly, the first few times I tried it were disconcerting, and it seems so counterintuitive to squirt water up one’s nose. But, trust me, it was really worth the initial apprehension.
I don’t think the waterboarding comparison holds up here because you are the one controlling how much water you get.

Sounds like Screw worms brought in by illegals.
I remember reading of a similar case fifty years ago in Texas.
The screw worm fly was supposedly wiped out in the US and Most of Mexico decades ago.
