One time in this country there were actual riots over playing baseball on Sunday.
And yet somehow the NFL had no problems playing their games on Sunday to the point where now Sundays are mostly associated with Football.
Even in England, they didn’t permit soccer games to be played on Sundays until 1974.
And there seems to be no shortage of suckers who will give them attention. Just look at Taylor Slut
Why? One word: Facebook

I watched a long David Mamet interview
I don’t agree with him on a fair amount like Shakespeare was a Jew for instance v which is negroes built pyramids nonsense

Our parents, Adam & Eve, gained the ‘hidden knowledge’ that was stated to make them wise - to know good and evil - because that evil being God was holding out on them. It worked! Not only did they now know about good and evil but they also learned who they were apart from their creator - and that, as they say, is the rest of the story (well, almost)! Now… even gaining the whole world is not enough to fill the void in their lives left from that disaster.

Pornography has a lot to do with mental illness. This whole trans/LGBT movement has its roots with men who fixate on sex. The saturation of it lead to entitlement, discontentment, break up of marriages, diminished masculinity and increased femininity through weakness and lack of discipline. Many children live in divorced homes and have absent fathers. There’s a lack of masculinity in the churches with stats indicating that upwards of seventy percent of the Christian men are addicted to porn. Women are fast approaching levels of porn addiction never seen in society leaving the future generations into a further cultural rot, destroying what’s left of of the family and destroying children with their madness of pagan sexual ideas.
If one wanted to destroy a society, they would push pornography into every home. That is exactly what we are seeing.
Three things; first, narcissism is a universal trait which we all share to a degree. It is not unhealthy by itself to feel special in some way. We all do. Second, Narcissistic personality disorder is a defined diagnosis which has a set of criteria. Many such people are highly successful in their chosen fields, although typically at the expense of relationships. Third, “narcissist” has become the favorite insult of the 21st century and basically has come to mean anyone we can’t stand and don’t get along with — in other words, means very little.
That having been said, the profound impact of social media has led to isolation, division, lack of empathy and a generation of people who haven’t learned to relate effectively face to face. The antidote is what spiritual leaders have always called for — self knowledge and humility. As religious faith has waned, these qualities likewise have become vanishingly scarce. Call it narcissism if one wants, but it is not new but yes it is becoming the norm instead of the
exception. Someone once posted here an article about “the cluster B culture,” which was very apt, and NPD is one of the cluster B pathologies.

Politicians are always more narcissistic than ordinary people, but the truly pathological narcissists tend to flame out on their way up the political ladder. Those who can’t control their impulses and subordinate their desires to the political tasks at hand tend not to make it to the top, unless they’re born there or rashly promoted without regard to competence. The problem is that politics and parties are themselves “narcissistic” entities that don’t encourage concern for outsiders.
The price of widespread affluence and all the goods and distractions it brings us is the dissolution of community ties. Individualism was once controlled and tempered by the need to work together to avoid poverty. Now it runs rampant and not all the consequences have been good.

I'm inclined to agree with him. When you see a "poor" person with a cell phone you see something that the wealthiest potentates in history could not even imagine, much less aspire to. When you consider it was free, you begin to get an idea of how tragically spoiled the population at large really is, and why its temptation is so alluring to people who don't enjoy that...yet. When you see a young person on that phone who is wearing $500 sneakers and is absolutely convinced by everyone he speaks to that he is underprivileged and oppressed, you get a hint of the spoilage. It's the sort of problem that corrects itself over history. Brutally.

Amongst all the trash on the streets and dilipated buildings, the cars are all very nice.

I’m sorry to hear that. However, where I am out west, the city softball complexes are all dark on Sunday (my granddaughter is on high school and city teams). Evening and Saturday games fulfill the whole schedule.
Money
If it’s not enough to have Sunday tournaments in TN, one parent drives his daughter to weekend softball tournaments as far as 400 miles away. She needs to getz that colleej skawlarship, dontchahknow.
We never had a (de facto) monarchy and in a relatively short time, adopted a Representative Republic.
Your sin nature and mine contributed to the demise of our Republic, which we apparently COULDN'T keep.

Paris Hilton started the latest trend. Once the tabloids in print and online started to make a lot of money then along came other narcissists who figured out how to make money on Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok which brings in more narcissists to try. Self feeding.
