That’s a shame.... Seinfeld.
It actually is a shame - 100 billion of our kid’s money they’ll never see.
Who do we drag/execute for this deadly travesty?
I’m serious - who pays for this abject disaster? The people who did this get rich, while everyone else gets fk’d.

I do not see any other sources confirming this. If true it will be all over the headlines this weekend.

Putin is sacrificing ridiculous numbers of troops and materiel to take a bombed out shell of a small city. All of this is being done to burnish his reelection campaign. If the Ukies can keep killing Ruskies at a ration of 7 to 1, the war will not be popular in Russia for long.

Someone said 4000 trapped. Compared to a Stalingrad or operation Bagration of WW2 that’s small. But we also have smaller forces involved and I wonder about the so called “domino effect”.
Will one hole on the front cause Ukr to Rush forces over form some other point weakening it there leading to another encirclement and resulting weakness and so on?
My guess is no.

What headlines? Our MSM is only presenting a one-sided view of the war. Who the heck really knows what is going on? Certainly not the pom-pom waivers on both sides.

It’s already been headlines in credible News Sources.
Forbes had a similar article yesterday posted here.

Russia will now keep the pressure on. That’s all this is.
If we play the slow bleed game, then they will pressure us.
The longer we keep this war going, and we are keeping it going, the more little bits of Ukraine will get gobbled up by Russia, i.e. the bigger this failure (it already is a political and military failure) will become.

The Ukrainians still have their country, because the hardworking taxpayers of THIS country paid for them to keep it.

Putin offered to split Ukraine down the Dnieper with Tusk years ago. That tells us where he thinks the boundary between Russia and Poland should be. Putin needs to take many little bits of Eastern Ukraine to reach the Dnieper. So, Ukraine is still ahead of the game. With enough loses the war will become even more unpopular in Russia threatening Putin's regime and could split Russia itself into pieces. That would be a good result for the West. A resounding loss for Russia means a retreat and loss of territory to Georgia, Japan, Finland, Moldova, and Kaliningrad could be split away as well.

He also wants the Ukrainians and Poles to fight each other, like they did during WWII. Divide and Conquer.
