Tucker Carlson Says Trip to Russian Grocery Store Has ‘Radicalized’ Him Against US Leaders: ‘Legitimately Angry’
The Wrap- Yahoo Entertainment ^ | 2/15/2024 | Josh Dickey

Tucker Carlson says he went “from amused to legitimately angry” at U.S. political leaders during a recent trip to a Moscow grocery store, where the independent conservative journalist and his crew guessed that a cart full of food would cost about the equivalent of $400 in American dollars – and it came in around a hundred bucks.

“Coming to a Russian grocery store, the ‘heart of evil,’ and seeing what things cost and how they live, it will radicalize you against our leaders,” Carlson said in the video shot on-site as he shopped for eggs, bread, wine and other staples. “That’s how I feel, anyway, radicalized. We’re not making any of this up, by the way. At all.”

-snip-

“So we were guessing what this would cost,” Carlson said as he puts his items on the belt. “Everybody [in the crew] is from the United States … and we didn’t pay any attention to cost, we just put in the cart what we would actually eat over a week. We all [guessed] around $400 bucks. It was $104 U.S. here. And that’s when you start to realize that ideology doesn’t matter as much as you thought.”

You are correct, however let’s compare standards of living and incomes.
The USA GDP is highest ranked in the world at $26.9 trillion as of 2023 vs Russia’s 11th place $2.1 trillion.

I also read that cost of living is 148% higher in America.

On a happiness index America is number 18, Russia is number 59.

I can go in any grocery store in Mexico and load up for $10. Is Mexico a better country to live?

That depends but if Tucker thinks he should be mad and that American groceries “should” cost 75% less like in some poorer counties, he’s nuts.

He can’t even figure out that he’d need to get a comparable job in Russia (which is impossible) and live there, rather than just walk in with his USA money and start complaining.

“We have our government trying to eliminate farms and ranches because climate, and lots of food processing plants have been destroyed domestically in the last four years.

I’m sure those two aren’t linked.

Pair those with inflation and fuel costs (again, climate) and everything is more expensive.”

And the pro-depopulation globalists at the very top of the chain are behind it all....and it would seem that most people are so intellectually challenged that they can’t manage to make that connection and draw the logical conclusion. But for the mass stupidity factor, the people would have already risen up and ‘dealt with’ the problem of these globalists that seek to be our masters.

This isn’t helping while the debate over funding Ukraine is occurring.

Yep. Tucker is a jerk. “Gee, why can’t I buy groceries for 75% less, like they ‘enjoy’ in the countries where people make 75% less?” “Why it must mean Russia’s ideology is unimportant”.

What a fool. But he’s always been very dishonest on everything beyond our borders.

I guess if he goes to Israel he’ll hate them even more if process are high. Not like all the good old S holes all around the world where stuff is cheap.

“Australia used to have cheaper food that we do, even in Sydney where I visited. Not sure if it’s still that way.

The other place I went often was Hungary and food was about 60% of what it is here. The catch is that the average Hungarian is paid much, much less than a person in Western Europe or the United States.”

But those other nations are lucky in that they’re not inflicted with moronic idiots like Barbara Lee, that want a $50 minimum wage... when the nation itself is about to collapse from unsustainable debt due to the Democrats spending like drunken sailors in Asian ports.

Russia keeps the prices reasonable and they’re producing much of it themselves now. They don’t import very much except for some tropical fruits they can’t grow themselves.

Tucker spent too much time visiting Lenin’s corpse while he was there and he got possessed by that dead commie.

So her grocery bill would be ~1 month’s wage.

Her grocery bill now would ~1 month’s wage in 1995.

Yeah you have peace signs while you cheer the filthy Russian kill killers.

Your symbol should be a piece of S not a peace symbol.

Whatever hole you are in, you are an awful human being.

It’s not just the price but price/income. What was that price as a percentage of average monthly income?

He’s like a peasant, visiting the “big city” for the first time. Its funny a trip to the grocery store would affect him so deeply.

I understand though, because Americans don’t travel or even watch non-MSM alternative media in the USA. They indeed may be shocked by such things

But a large portion of Americans travel abroad, and can easily see what the USA does well, and what it does very badly - and what’s rapidly getting worse

Less prosperous country usually has a less valued currency.
So, if you live in some poor country, you $ income is very low, but everything costs a lot less.
So, you do not really live that bad!
basically, unless your country is on the real bottom, you can live pretty good life there, but you really cannot afford to travel out!
Then, They are countries with average income of less than $1000 a year, and most people there still live and somehow scramble enough for food and shelter.
They also get some used cloth and stuff from somewhere, and even some used car.
My friend from Mexico always noted that being US neighbor is great, because it gives you an easy access to all of the US junk!

With the exploding national debt, I am worried that the dollar will collapse sometimes and US will become one of those less prosperous countries.

We may end up importing junk from Mexico!

Anyone who reads that should know Tucker Carlson is a kook at best.

Anyone who reads FR should know Williams is a cheap propagandist at best.

James is the guy I love to hate the most. He’s loyal. He’s outspoken. He’s honest. He’s also a wordsmithing caustic jerk. He would be a good foxhole pick for me.
