“Yep, I’ve been gradually converting all my Excel records to Apple Numbers records. It’s particularly annoying that Microsoft is trying to force you onto software SUBSCRIPTION programs. I loved Excel but not enough to be chained to Microsoft subscriptions.”
You can buy Office Professional 2021.
I have never used Numbers but I don’t find a reference to being able to write programs/functions. Excel has full programming using VBA.
“Finally a version of windows that doesn’t open.”
Why are you on this thread with false posts?
I’m running Kubuntu on a Dell Optiplex 7060 microtower that I bought dirt cheap. I love it!
ROFL! U missed what he did there, hahahahaha!
I provided the missing letter, off hand, I'd say you simply missed my joke...
Because it annoys you.
Do you happen to know what a window that is designed to not open is called?
It’s a picture window.
IFor home needs, I can do more, and do it faster, on my iPad than my old PC’s.
My brand new work PC is fast enough for what it is called to do, but windows is so busy trying to be useful is seems bloated and slower than it should.
Not most any more...
Apple is just like Microsoft..except it is hardware.
“Because it annoys you.”
Nothing here annoys me but I enjoy living rent free in your head.
“Ubuntu will work. Easy peasy. Most PC and laptops will run way better on Ubuntu since it doesn’t come with all the bloatware Windows does.”
Ubuntu is more difficult to run. Requires using command line.
Won’t run a lot of popular programs and games.
Won’t run Android apps.
Mint21 runs fine on older PCs, even matching the speed of newer chip PCs.
iPads are great for home use but for real work they are a no go.
I have a Compaq CQ57-339WM that I am typing on.
I think I bought it in 2013.
The CD/DVD drive is temperamental but otherwise the hardware is fine.
I don’t think I can upgrade the processor for Windows 11.
an you expand more on that?
Use VirtualBox 7.0
Linux (Mint) host...
Pick one or more guest VM’s including up to Win11
Even better use KVM/QEMU
