Tucker Carlson defended on Monday his decision not to question Russian President Vladimir Putin about allegations that the Kremlin has ordered assassinations of political dissidents.
"Every leader kills people. Some kill more than others," the former Fox News host said.
His comments came during a discussion at the World Government Summit in Dubai that touched upon his interview last week with the Russian leader. The interview, taped on February 6 and aired two nights later, has made international headlines for numerous statements made by Putin, including his supposed rationale for invading Ukraine.
During the Dubai summit, Egyptian journalist Emad el-Din Adeeb asked Carlson why he didn't ask Putin about jailed Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny, alleged political assassinations or restrictions in Russia's upcoming presidential election.
"I didn't talk about the things that every other American media outlet talks about," Carlson said.
After Adeeb pressed him further, Carlson added: "Because those are covered and because I have spent my life talking to people who run countries in various countries and have concluded the following: that every leader kills people, including my leader.
"Every leader kills people. Some kill more than others. Leadership requires killing people.

Goes back to the whole point of the interview. Americans have not been exposed to any information that wasn’t filtered through globalist propaganda or Russian propaganda. What would have been gained by peppering Putin with all the globalists grievances like those yipping chihuahuas do to Trump? The goal was to get Putin talking unfiltered and that happened.
Don’t like the way Carlson conducted the interview, have one of your leftist hacks sit down with Putin. His ego is big enough he would likely do it. You will get nothing different than what you already have from the Daily Mail and TASS.
Tucker’s current mission seems to be to make Fox News seem smart for firing him. He is succeeding.

He’s starting to look like one of those guys who gets a thrill from hanging around mob bosses. And as a side note, Carlson has buddied around with Hell’s Angels members in the past.

I can understand you not recognizing Tucker’s moral compass. It’s called the truth. As far as that compass (truth) goes, what lies did Tucker or Putin traffic in regarding post Soviet NATO/Russian relations or why Russia felt forced to block NATO further encroachment? You really think only Russians assassinate their adversaries?!? How about offing a US president? Come on, you can say it. What national security agency assassinated Kennedy? I’ll help you. It wasn’t the Cubans, Soviets or Chicoms.
While what Tucker says is true, I think this was made in reference to ones domestic political opponents.
Trump didn’t kill his American rivals, even if he was opposed by Ted Cruz or Hillary, he didn’t have them jailed or killed.
As far as killing foreigners, that’s called war. Justified or not. But there are some bad guys out there that are killed because they killed first.
If your argument is war is never the answer, I would disagree, but would agree we—the USA—have gone to war too much these past couple of decades. The Middle East wars we’ve fought have not made us safer.

He’s right and had he tried to broach the subject, they would not have agreed to the interview.
