Provocative US right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson criticized the US government for its failure to advocate for a ceasefire in both Gaza and Ukraine, stating that the nation is “losing moral authority.”
Speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Monday, the former Fox News political commentator emphasized the need for the US to refrain from supporting wars solely for its own interests, a strategy commonly referred to as proxy warfare.
“If you see a nation with awesome power, abetting war for its own sake, you have a leadership that has no moral authority, that is illegitimate,” Carlson said.
“(The US) has been a morally superior country. (But) if we allow our leaders to use our power to spread destruction for its own sake, that is shameful.”

“I believe Trump would press hard for a cease-fire - and then a negotiated settlement” - The first point of negotiating would be that there would be no unaccounted for funds from the United States, I believe.
I listened to every word of it and it was childish and morally despicable in the context of the Israeli fight with hamas.
Nonsense about a father comes home and finds his 2 kids fighting and of course he first stops the fight and this was said in the context of discussing the United States and the Israeli fight in Gaza.
Tucker also was quite clear that he was talking about the United States when he talked about making war just for the sake of war because he said that he is often called a trader for this.
He then said he isn’t talking about any particular rage and because Tucker opposes the United States involvement in every region of the world every single one.
Tucker does not support standing up to Iran. Tucker does not support fighting for Europe Tucker does not support opposing communist China in Asia. Tucker would not defend Taiwan.
I doubt that I missed a single Tucker Carlson program on Fox News and I am very familiar with his viewpoints.
Ultimately he will not support Donald Trump.
I answered you with specifics but you’ll just come back with more insults.
The headline written by Arab News, does not support what he actually said.
However, I’ve never liked Tucker, and this clip just reinforces my dislike of him.
I read the headline that Tucker is telling Gaza to ceasefire
Never forget Tucker’s BOWTIE “academic” conservative act.
It’s all showbiz, and frankly he chews so much tobacco that he is racing along with his mouth well ahead of his brain, and also, quite facile topical speeches depending on who his audience aligns with. This speech in Dubai did not say what the headlline says he said— however it was a sop to the “arab” POV. Hopefully in support of re-institution of Trump’s Abraham Accords... soon.
Tucker’s equating Israel and Hamas with quarreling siblings in a family is a disgrace, but typical. He still hasn’t condemned Hamas for what they did to Israel.
This will anger all the Israel Firsters here.
The situation in Gaza is a tragic one. Hamas has woven itself into the fabric there. 27,000 women and children have been killed in Gaza. As is usually the case the innocent suffer the most in war. I think more of Tucker for suggesting a cease fire should be a goal. He is not denying the brutality of Hamas but does acknowledge the suffering of the people there.
Body of text does not match the headline.
Yes
Trump would let Israel continue to fight, but not get us derectly involved.
Tucker Carlson must be discredited now this is the best way for it to be done make him look anti-Israel.
Tucker hated Israel even back when he was on PMSNBC.
No he’s being America First.
Tucker Catlson is a 100% isolationist and foreign policy idiot
“Tucker hated Israel even back when he was on PMSNBC.”
Was that about the same time when he “passionately hated” Trump? I confess that I get the timelines mixed up. Bottom line is... I view Carlson as a man who stands for nothing, since his stances seem to change with the political wind. Used to be a Democrat, worked for MSNBC, then Fox and now he’s suddenly supposedly a Trump fan and pure gold to some. Huh??? I don’t get it. I think it’s a trap.
He’s an actor, like all pundits.
“He’s an actor, like all pundits.”
And with a scant few exceptions... I don’t trust actors either.
What happened to attempts at peace. Not appeasement. Did 20 years in Afghanistan teach us nothing?
I’ve yet to hear anyone in this administration expound on any end goal. How many more billions do we donate while our country is ignored. Does a plan exist to ever end this?
