Yes. Educated humans read 10x faster than video presenters can talk, and retain twice or three time the information. I for one have neither the bandwidth nor the patience to acquire information in the slowest way known to modern man. A video producer who won't provide a transcript isn't serious.

There’s plenty of tools out there to generate a transcript if not provided. There are also tools to generate braille transcripts.

Thank you for pointing that out. Non-visual content via video is my least favorite method of obtaining info. Even visual-related content on youtube I watch at 1.5x or better. But I think it is an age thing. Not quite sure where the cutoff is, but the younger someone is, the more likely it seems they prefer someone reading to them over video than reading the info themselves.
Maybe that is one of the reasons FreeRepublic seems to attract older folks - it’s mostly text-based.
Then you should just run along rather than expect to be hand-fed like a two year old baboon.
