Usher’s first set was a take off of Michael Jackson. Dance moves and the glove.
Not much diversity at halftime or, for that matter, game time.
I didnât recognize any of the performers or their selections.
It was boring but my wife enjoyed it. I did the dishes and cleaned up dinner after the first few minutes. I have nothing against Usher, either. Just was kind of bland.
I thought it was pretty average. Mostly lame monotone music.

I have heard his name before but none of his songs, but I thought he was okay. I doubt I’ll be downloading his music. The rest of the show wasn’t my cup of tea.

Usher is ok, but I would say he shined.
Probably a safe choice by the NFL. Honestly, I can’t say who would put on a great show that has mass appeal to everyone.
It was better than the average Super Bowl halftime show just because it wasnât rap and Usher didnât lip synch, as most Super Bowl singers do, but otherwise I thought it was boring. Todayâs so-called â musicâ is garbage, nothing but autotuned singers performing soulless modern elevator music. And thatâs not just me trying to be a curmudgeon by criticizing anything that came after my generation. The advertisers obviously agree, because they constantly use music from the 70s and 80s instead of any of the current pablum.

Bruno Mars was the best I had seen in many years. Killed it at SB 50.
Compared to that this was as bland and boring as they get.
Not my style. Buy I appreciated a marching band, roller skates, no Satanic themes right in my face. No uber-lewd moves onstage by anyone. A duet with that girl on the piano. A couple of guys in fedoras with canes.
I probably only understood about 20% of the words, but coulda been much worse.
No huge complaint for me.

Does he work in a theater showing people where the empty seats are? When the announcers said not to miss the half time show, I decided to miss it. I am very certain that I missed nothing.
