It wasn’t directed at you originally anyway. Yes, I’m grumpy but it is true, all this normalization wasn’t happening before the huge concern about illegals.
Arizona. Have you ever been in the mid-Atlantic? How many illegals do you expect here? Well there are plenty. And everyone is accommodating them, not legal Mexicans. They never cared about speaking Spanish for legal people. mentioned Lowe’s, so think about it. We’re talking nationwide corporate accommodations for one group of people…and they didn’t do it until the illegal thing became real popular during Bush. Who would’ve accommodated amnesty not for 9/11 delaying things a bit.
When we see all this accommodation for illegal people who tend to be a particular persuasion, in a place you wouldn’t expect any influence from them, you know libs are falling on their faces to make it seem normal. Meanwhile, in our area Koreans are very prominent, but only lately are a few things showing up beyond their many businesses to indicate such. But government and big business speaks Spanish, not Korean. They don’t care about these legal immigrants.
Sorry to digress from Taylor Swift, but tangents do happen on threads all the time, as in conversation.
It isn’t true. I started in Chicago. Mexicans were there in the 70s. You are, quite simply, full of it. Mexican food has been a part of American culture basically since we got a common border. Taco Bell got founded in the 40s. There’s simply nothing “normalizing illegals” about having Mexican food here. Even thinking such a thing is asenine in the extreme. Heck half the Mexican food we eat in American is actually American food invented here using standard Mexican ingredients.
Really you’re facts are wrong across the board. You don’t know when Mexican food came into America. You don’t know when Mexican language entered government paperwork (hint: basically when we took over the South West). You are wrong across the board.
