The author has gone off on a tangent thinking the GOP will remove Biden. There is no mechanism for that. It will be the Dems who remove him as the nominee. The big question that has suddenly emerged is whether he can finish out his term. It now seems plausible that he will resign or get pushed out via the 25th Amendment. Which means a President Harris. How would the Dem leadership deal with that? Embrace Kamala and make her the nominee. Or convince her to be happy as president for six months and then retire with massive wealth.
I could see this. They're also desperate for the "first woman president" check in the box.
And it won't be Kamala Harris. She's more unpopular than Biden is. And I don't believe the conspiracy theories about Michelle Obama stealth running. She's enjoying a life of wealth and leisure. She doesn't want to inherit Biden's mess.
Whitmer would make sense.
GOP needs to back off now. they have a gift running against Biden and if he is replaced by Michelle Obama the Democrats will win easily.

Not only are they blaming the prosecutor, they are blaming Garland for not editing the Special Council report. They are saying that Garland’s career will be over after this election.
I think that they need to get rid of most of Biden’s cabinet, starting with Myorkas. Blame the border mess on Biden and Myorkas. They have done enough damage.

Other than Kamala, there is no weaker candidate than Biden that Trump will face. Biden’s two big weaknesses are the border and his age. Strategically, it would benefit Trump to keep him in the race for his own prospects as well as congressional races. I would think Trump wants to make it hard for the Dems to replace him and the longer he can keep Biden propped up as his opposition, the harder for the Dems to replace him. I would lay off the age issue which could lead to replacing him sooner rather than later and concentrate on the border issue which affects all Dem candidates. Once the Dems pass point of no return with Biden at the top of the ticket, go full bore on the age and senility issue 24/7

The Democrats dilemma is how to reconcile that Biden willfully compromised secret documents for years yet is too senile to face trial. If he is too feeble minded to be responsible for compromising secret documents then how is he capable of being POTUS? If he is of sound mind then he should be indicted for leaking US secrets. They can’t have it both ways without being obvious hypocrites by charging Trump with the mishandling of secret documents that he, unlike Biden, was under the Presidential Records Act legally able to retain.
Biden in my opinion will not run for a second term and will be replaced at the Democrats convention.

You are exactly right, but some right wing blowhards have no strategic sense. They are prodding Democrats to dump Biden when it’s in our interest that they stick with him.
