Vladimir Putin once again appeared to be unable to control a twitchy leg during his lengthy interview with US right-wing journalist Tucker Carlson earlier this week.
The Russian president spent half an hour of the sit-down chat on an almost uninterrupted ramble covering 1,200 years of Eastern European history.
But some viewers were distracted by his apparent need to physically push down his knee to prevent his leg from moving around.
It’s been an odd habit of Putin’s for a while – stretching back at least as far as September 2022, when the appendage started twitching during a speech in front of schoolchildren in the exclave of Kaliningrad.
The bizarre wiggling movement returned last year during the 71-year-old’s high-profile meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.
Some observers have linked it to possible health issues, after years of rumours suggesting he is suffering from terminal cancer or early-stage Parkinson’s disease.
Restless legs syndrome, also known as Willis-Ekbom disease, is common in people who have Parkinson’s – although it can have other causes.
The Kremlin has repeatedly denied that Putin is living with any serious health conditions.

Yes, my first thought was he looked the picture of health.

He certainly didn’t look like he was on death’s door like the media portrays him as.
It was good to see him as he was and not as the MSM portrays him as.
Do I trust him? Not really, any more than I trust any politician. But I have more respect for him now.
In before being accused of a Putin supporter. I can see that one coming.
Me? All I want to know is, is it him? Is it really Putin or a double?
For those who pay attention to him and study him, his mannerisms, his voice, etc., is it him or not?
Has his voice been analyzed, finger prints checked, hair tested, or whatever else been done to check and verify that it’s really him?
That’s all I want to know.
I don’t care that much about what he says or how well the politician Putin says it. For example, Bill Clinton has long been a personable, charismatic and masterful speaker on almost any subject, but so what? He’s still evil and evil is as evil does.
Bottom line, a politician’s “big talk's worth doodly squat.” What they do speaks louder than what they say and Putin, Biden, Clinton, etc. are all cut from the same cloth.

Seems like your getting distracted too!
“trailor park. “
spare me the elitism. That smells so liberal...
So lets cut the cr*p. Your not complaining I do not have interest in domestic affairs, your just pissed I support Ukraine. Again, if I did nothing but post smack on Ukraine, and made no mention of domestic affairs you woluld not say a peep.
If you did that you would be pretty much a minority of one because virtually everyone who is critical of the Ukraine laundramat fraud emphasizes that we have domestic issues to concern ourselves with. And then there are the national securtiy experts who point out we have much bigger national security problems than Ukraine.
I have always had great respect for Putin because of what he has done for his country. Do I want him for President? No!
But he is a very rational person and he’s not the boogeyman man. Russia is not our enemy. Putin himself says he never really understood why the west didn’t agree to closer ties with Russia. My whole life since 1991 I never could understand why we weren’t allies with Russia. Of course it didn’t dawn on me until more recently that Putin opposes the NWO and has pretty much purged it from Russia.
