I wonder if these soldiers are dying in Ukraine or Israel and this is how they cover their deaths as accidents. These deaths happen close to some event reported around the same time in those conflicts.
Biden admin is corrupt and they are liars.

For all of the V-22 Osprey bashing on this forum, the MH-53E Super Stallion has an accident rate of 5.96 per 100,000 flight hours, where the MV-22 has an accident rate of 3.27 per 100,000 hours.

The desert in that area is about a mile high above sea level and the mountains sit on top of that.
They may have been lower than the pilot was aware..............

I suspect the crew was on board all along, the military wasn’t going to provide status until the next of kin was notified.
As far as fox goes.....its been my studied opinion that they play as fast and loose with the facts as all the others.

Certainly feasible.
Still, it’s not like that bad weather blew up in an hour......it’s been going on for a week or so has it not?
I’m thinking somebody should have made the call to scrub the flight.

On FOX they said the helicopter had been found with nobody aboard Where were the men found ???
None of the official statements said they weren't on the helicopter. There were a bunch of oddly constructed headlines due to the vague statements issued, along the lines of "helicopter found but search continues." Some people extrapolated this to mean the marines weren't in the helicopter.
A careful reading of the official statements at the time indicated that the helicopter had been spotted, but that t rescuers had not reached it yet. So officially it was still a search and rescue mission, i.e. the search continued.
I think they just, quite reasonably, didn't want to say anything until they reached the helicopter, but the odd way they phrased that the search and rescue operation was ongoing got misinterpreted.

Yes, they should not have been flying a training mission in a hurricane.................

Beautiful.
So sad. May they all rest in peace - duty done.

Eternal Father, grant, we pray,
To all Marines, both night and day,
The courage, honor, strength, and skill
Their land to serve, thy law fulfill;
Be thou the shield forevermore
From every peril to the Corps.
(Marine Corps verse, The Navy Hymn)
What about:
Michael Micheal of the morning;
With fresh corps in heaven adorning;
Keep me safe today;
And in time of temptation, drive the devil away.
A miracle occurred during the Korean War over this St Michael prayer. And the Marines use to pray that every morning..
I belive thru the 60s.

Helicopters are friggin' dangerous, period. In the year I was assigned to a helicopter training squadron in 1968-9, we lost 11 dead in one month while Boeing-Vertol was trying to fix the rear ends of the helicopter falling off at the 410 joint (410 inches back from the datum point at the nose of the aircraft). The saying we had at the time was that "a helicopter is 10,000 parts flying in close formation, looking for a chance to crash".
During my time in the Marine Corps, I was there in the vicinity for over a dozen helicopter accidents/shot down. Helicopter crashes are almost always fatal to everyone riding in them.

During Reagan’s 8 years in office, we averaged about 2200 dead military people per year.

My dad told me a story once about a night flight he was on in Vietnam.
The Bell UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) he was on developed engine failure.
The pilot told everyone to strap in he was going to perform the Autorotation maneuver to land.
Quickly locating an empty soccer field, dad said the pilot set down just as pretty as you please.
After landing my dad said the pilot acted as if he had just done nothing more than pulled a car into a parking space.
Those guys really do have ice water in their veins. 😏
