“If they use their own private aircraft, they can expect the public to know where that aircraft is going.”
Why?
Do I have a right to know where you are going in your private car?

The FAA strongly encourages flight plans although you’re free to fly without one. If she flies without one then she can have total privacy.

Any aircraft that flies above a certain level has to file a public flight plan to enter the airspace...
Go to an airport, find a private aircraft and jot down a tail number at random...
When you get home enter the tail number into a search engine...you will likely see a detailed travel history, the owners name and address and a lot of other information.
It’s all public information.
No, because you aren't required by law to file a "drive log" every time you get in your car.
Pilots are required to file flight logs and their jets with the FAA every time they take to the air. That information is available to the public thru the right internet sites.......
There is flight tracker software on line which tracks everywhere based on the airplane transponder.

Same for ocean going vessels.
All you really need is airplane tail number which is public.
Most of the Elite have their planes listed as a company so they can hide where they are flying.
