Taylor Swift sells off one of her $40m private jets
Daily Mail UK ^ | Feb 7, 2024

Posted on 02/07/2024 12:46:31 PM PST by CondoleezzaProtege

She previously sold a smaller Dassault Falcon 50 jet in 2020, after she purchased it in 2012 for $4million. Swift donated the proceeds to charity.

It is unclear if Swift is planning to upgrade her fleet just in time for the longest leg of her international tour starts – jetting to Australia to perform on February 16.

This comes as it was revealed Swift's lawyers sent a letter to Jack Sweeney, 21, demanding that he stop logging her flights and locations.

Sweeney, a junior at the University of Central Florida, has run several accounts that track the flight paths of planes and helicopters owned by celebrities, billionaires, politicians and other public figures.

His accounts use publicly available data, and also share the estimates of their planet warning emissions – with the college student first going head to head with Elon Musk in 2022 for sharing his jet's details.

“Do I have a right to know where you are going in your private car?”
No, but you do have the right to observe where it is going in public. Sheesh, idjit!

According to an article I’ve read, she does pay for carbon credits.

“Most of the Elite have their planes listed as a company so they can hide where they are flying.”

Yes, that’s true.

Of course you have the right to observe it as it directly affects you (i.e., in your view). But you do NOT have the right to know where it’s going (i.e., its destination, or its route to get there).

“If she flies without one (a flight plan) then she can have total privacy.”

As with a number of other things, you know nothing about aviation, i.e. don’t know what you’re talking about.

The number of uses I have for Taylor Swift ranges from none to absolute zero. There are more important things going on in the world to pay any attention at all to that little twit.

I can’t understand her appeal, either musically or sexually.

I go offroading all the time. For Swift she can stay under FL180 until she hits international airspace and then go where she wants to. This is nothing new.

Music icons and private aircraft are a very dangerous mix.

Unless you are in a gen 9.0 stealth aircraft by cia, dod, deepState, and/or wef, you have as much chance of privacy as if on the internet with your IP and full name/dob.

She’d just be avoiding some rando on the net, not smuggling drugs for a cartel.

Buying a jet sinks cash into a asset that's losing value whereas financing it allows her to write it the business expenses while putting her cash into something profitable such as her tours.

She can take depreciation deductions and deduct all operating expenses whether or not it's purchased outright with cash or financed. With financing, she can deduct the interest in addition to taking depreciation deductions and operating expense deductions. It would make no sense, though, for her to pay $1.00 in interest just to get $0.50 in tax savings. It would only make sense for her to finance a jet or anything else if she had limited capital and could invest what capital she has in an investment that provides a return in excess of whatever interest rate she's paying on the asset financed. She has unlimited capital so it would never make financial sense for her to borrow money for anything, much less a jet.

Don’t continue to be simpleton.
You have a transponder, you are tracked.
(even if not international)
Do you think the NSA doesn’t know all your comms?
If so, don’t bother responding, too dumb.

She didn't reach a billion by not having smart financial advisors.

Her Father, Scott Swift, is the KEY to her wealth and fortune. Her mother, Andrea, was a MARKETING manager when Taylor got her first record deal at age 14.

Her Dad is a VERY astute Money Manager and Certified Financial Planner. and always was, ever since they first moved to Nashville ( actually Hendersonville, TN ) about 20 to 22 years ago. Before Taylor's success he worked for Merrill Lynch.

Ever since the beginning of her career as a young girl he and her mother have GUIDED her financially and I must say, BOTH has done a TOP RATE job of helping make her successful financially and marketing-wise... her Dad and her Mother are in their late 50's and BOTH have very LIKEABLE non-arrogant personalities.

I thought it was because she can’t park it in Vegas for the Super Bowl. It seems all of the area aircraft parking spaces were already spoken for. Think about that next time you have problems.

“Check out flightaware flight plans are published.”

Only for flight plans that are actually filed. Not all private flights are required to file flight plans.
