Tucker is an entertainer. As is pretty much everyone with a platform nowadays.
He can interview anyone as long as he’s not breaking a law, which he’s not doing here. Personally, I’d find an interview with Snowden to be more interesting.
As for Tucker doing this to “get the story out,” Cmon man. Anyone with any inkling can find oodles of public commentary from Mr KGB on how he’s the last bastion of morality (he will of course sidestep assassinating enemies, divorcing his wife, and keeping abortion legal…what a guy!), and the West is woke and it’s his God-given right to invade a sovereign nation blah blah blah.
Tucker sees a payoff. Putin sees PR. The footage will be edited by the Kremlin. Nothing new will come out. More money will be siphoned from the Treasury and diverted to Ukraine for who-knows-what.
We will have 100+ long threads of idiots calling each other Zeepers and Putinistas like it’s 3rd grade. But they’re important people …they’re part of a CAUSE, just like dopey college students changing about rivers and seas.
The end game? For 48 hours, people will take their eye off the border and Bidet. Satan laughing, spreads his wings.

Perhaps you didn’t see my comment on another Tucker thread: “A JOURNALIST may employ facts, but his or her main objective is to influence; and one of the best ways to influence is to make the message entertaining (i.e., keep the audience engaged).”
I favor free speech, even though we may not agree or like what that speech entails. As Thomas Jefferson so succinctly put it: “I prefer dangerous freedom over safe slavery.”
