Shocking video shows a child gleefully shouting "I got it" after swiping a package from a front porch. When the Florida homeowner realized her package was missing, she checked her Ring camera video. That's when she saw the pint-sized porch pirate. The kid is being called the "littlest porch pirate" but it's the adult who is being accused of telling the youngster what to do.

Another “parent”, that society would be better off without.

We live in a condo where eight units share a common courtyard.

We had a small package stolen from our doorstep. It was a new screen for my wife’s iphone, worth about $30.

One day we were returning from errands, coming through the breezeway, and saw a renter call her child back from approaching our doorstep. We didn’t have any packages coming that day, but it sure looked like the kid was trained to look for one. They were renting a room, and moved away shortly after.

I really dislike the term “porch pirate”. Yes, it’s cute, and catchy. But there’s nothing cute about theft. It sure looks like there’s a trend to make crime look more acceptable.

Real pirates are horrifying criminals. As President, Thomas Jefferson directed our Navy to fight the Barbary pirates that were attacking American ships. I guess Hollywood has blunted reality. And here's an A.I. image mocking Netflix for making everything about DEI:

You can hear the kid say something along the lines of “we got scammed.” As if it was his package and someone did them wrong.

Yes, terrible vocabulary. He meant to say "punked."

And there's nothing cute about pirates. Nowadays, if you attend a Renaissance festival, chances are that you will run across re-enactors dressed like Blackbeard and his crew who are celebrating the "golden age of piracy" in the 1500's-1800's. Perhaps three hundred years from now, re-enactors will be dressing as MS-13 as they celebrate the "golden age of street gangs" in the 21st century.

One of the reasons, I'm not as opposed to abortion as I used to be.

Oh wow, I had no idea. That is really smart. Before Covid I always had my packages shipped to my office and didn’t worry about theft but now things are so different at work it doesn’t make sense to do that, so my packages go to my house. So far so good but I’m dreading the day when something gets stolen. I have a camera but don’t know how much good it does since I can’t imagine the police spend too much time tracking stolen Amazon or Nordstrom packages! That is pretty cool.
